Actress advocate philanthropist and producer Torrey Joel DeVitto is best famous for her amazing seven-season stint on the NBC show Chicago Med playing Natalie Manning the 'girl next door' as well as a physician in the ER Pediatrics division. Outside of her acting work Torrey's goal is to provide access to and spread knowledge about health and charity to the widest range of people feasible. Torrey DeVitto is a native of Huntington New York, the daughter of Mary & Liberty DeVitto. From the moment when she was born Torrey has been surrounded by entertainment. Her father was a drummer for Billy Joel 28 years, and most of Torrey's early years were spent on the road. Torrey was already obsessed with the arts and performing even before she was able to walk. After starting violin lessons in fourth grade, at the age of six the young woman already held an appointment as the fourth chair of the New York orchestra. In the following years, she performed violin in a Tommy Davidson show, backed up by Brian McKnight's band. Torrey studied at the Kings Park Dance Center, New York. She began modeling and commercials by age 15. In the spirit of her musical passion throughout her life, she's played violin at a show with the Tommy Davidson Band. Tommy Davidson Band was featured on Raphael Saadig's Ray Ray and Stevie Nicks album In Your Dreams and has been on stage with her father on stage with cheers of standing ovations. Torrey together with her father, sang the song You've Seen Through in a PSA to SAMHSA. This PSA focused on alcohol and drug abuse. Torrey is also a strong woman's health advocate as well as rights and safety. She serves as a member of the SafeBAE board and is the spokesperson and ambassador for NHPCO. In addition, she's a staunch advocate for reproductive right and has been a speaker at the Planned Parenthood's Bans Off Our Bodies online rally, The Women's Convention of 2022. She also shared her own story about abortion during the exclusive PEOPLE interview. Cycling through veganism and vegetarianism for the past 13 years she also is an animal advocate and often supports non-profit organizations like PETA IMAlive The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and PAWS adoptions in Chicago.
